Highpoints Part 3

Summit #5
Humphreys Peak, Arizona 12,633' 5/15/06

I did this peak during a week long trip into Arizona that included Crown King with the family, the Grand Canyon, Sedona and numerous other sites. This strenuous hike is only 9 miles roundtrip with an elevation gain of 3,500' (that means 3,500' in 4.5 miles). It was a beautiful day with rain clouds in the west but sunny and warm on the peak. Flagstaff sits in the shadow of this peak and the trail begins out of the Arizona Snowbowl. A very rewarding hike with 360 degree views. Here's the pics:
