Cabo San Lucas
As usual its been awhile since the last blog. I've been waiting for my comments section to get up to 100 like desi and josh promised but... well, it didn't happen. I don't know who I'm more disappointed in: desi and josh or a society that would produce such incompetence. I mean seriously, is it that hard to post a hundred comments? Anyway, in spite of their laziness I've decided to post some more pics. Maybe this time they'll get off their butts and take it a little more seriously... we shall see.
It has been very busy the last few months. Alot of work as usual, but also alot of fun things too. Here are a few recent random pics with explanations:
In June, Lauren went to a resort in Cabo San Lucas (that's in Mexico, Aaron. You should know that) with her family. I flew down and surprised her.
This is the creepiest thing in the world. It's a paper mache statue with REAL HUMAN HAIR! Gross.
Todos Santos
This is called the Sky Pool. It sits high above the resort. Sorry for the blur, I didn't have a tripod. I'm sure desi will have something to say about it...
We went fishing one day. Lauren caught a Dorado while I kept myself busy vomiting.
Ok, as usual this is taking me forever and I need to go into work soon. I'll just end here and this will be a Cabo specific blog.
Next time will have more random pics.

Nice Post Tim.
I'll start you off with 10 comments to help the boys along. Sorry for whoever is to blame for you not getting to 100 comments. I do hope you are not disappointed once more.

This time I am serious. It's 5:30 in the morning right now, and I got up this early just to get in some Tim-blog-comment-devotion-time.
j
Hey Rose, I appreciate the support but unfortunately I do not feel the numbering system is an acceptable form of commenting. Josh, thank you for the "devo". Hope to see you next week.
you smell tim.

Hey Tim,
Josh here.
It's 4am and I'm up for my devotional. Just asking myself what it would be like to know a guy who actually got 100 comments on his blog.
Might never know, but it would never be from my lack in effort.

Let me take care of this Tim.....
Starrs, Tim has expressed to you both that He does not consider the numbering comment system as acceptable. Now, I think I speak for a majority of bloggers when I say this:
1. It is cheating
2. In a world of high-tech, fast-paced, gimme the easy way out-lifestyle. Good solid blog commenting keeps us grounded, and at-pace with good wholesome, neighborly care and recognition.
3. The blog owner (in this case Tim) has told you it is unacceptable.
4. It leads all of us to believe you two as law breakers, unwilling to "play by the rules".
5. It is a cheap way to draw attention to yourselves.
6. You spelled "fourty" wrong.
In conclusion,
I believe someday we may achieve 100 comments on one of Tims posts, perhaps this one. And those of us who have posted "actual comments" will be crowned victorious. And you, Starrs will hang your head in shame, knowing you have cheated in an attempt to fulfill your lofty goals.
love,
j
Well put Josh. It's nice to see someone taking a stand against their kind. Thanks.
pretty strong comments josh. i guess people get really -REALLY serious when they turn 28.
~Rose
And Tim, if you don't count the numbering system of comments...you should delete them...unless you like seeing that LARGE comment number up there!
~Rose
Happy Birthday Josh!
~The Starr Family
And Happy Birthday to Shannon Starr a few days early!
~Rose
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the total count remains even if the comments are erased......let's just do this the right way....okay.
thanks for the b-day shout
extremely seriously,
j
Josh- nice back splash pics. Looking forward to splashing all over it on Friday.
~Rose
I think Tim should delete all the # comments...
Tim- you should take Lauren down Cherry Creek on a gondola when you are out here. It looks romantic.
~Rose
c'mon lets get to 100
Josh- kind of a lame comment.
Only 4 words and a number.

~Rose

j
sorry, i lashed out.
j
Only forty more to go starrs...looks like it's up to us
Thanks for hosting us Starrs. Sorry I forgot my black beauty cream. Please keep it the 'fridge. You can send it to Tim's house and he can give it to me. Oh, and yea...we're engaged. So super excited!!! (Notice the three exclamation points- Elaine would be proud) Can't wait to see you in November. Love, Lauren
Well, I just thought I'd check Tim's blog and see what everyone's been up to. Why waste time reading multiple blogs when you can get it all here? Seems like everyone is up to the same old, same old- the kakooey is in absentia (hasn't even been in johnny's closet this week), rose is spreading her blog kindness once again while sitting on the couch eating bon bons as the kids so "school", and have i ever met this josh character? hmmmmm... seems shady to me. the desmondo, as great as ever (and he can count as well!) and timbo, well, congrats on your impending nuptuals! did i even spell that correctly?
well, i hope my feeble attempt to improve the numerical status of your post was more entertaining than, say, posts 31 thru 40.
oh, and really the only reason josh seems shady is the ungodly hour he gets up. ridiculous. unless he has a newborn in the house and isn't sleeping at all. of course, my husband gets up that early for work... ok. nevermind.
that was the kids "do" school, not "so" school.
sorry bout that but hey,
one
more
comment
...
and i do believe it is spelled
nuptials.
so sorry.
becky,
thanks for adding to the numbers but get yoiur spelllinng wright!!!
d.
miss plavan,
just to let you know, josh is pretty shady. i don't trust the guy any farther than i can throw him which is still pretty far because of how strong i am.
d.
lauren,
congrats girl. you two are awesome and i love the new and improved tim, all giddy and lovey. we look forward to seeing you guys in november.
d.
josh,
sorry for saying that you are in fact shady. i guess you really aren't that shady. i mean you aren't aaron calles.
d.
D,
bring it sally boy
Our picture is way tougher than a flower
mr. desmondo-
that would be MRS plavan to you.
wow. mr kolorado didn't seem to need the lion pic until he was termed "shady".
seems shady to me.
plus, a lion by any other name smells like a lion.
love,
b
Yes Desi and beckwanda, I am extremely shady and liony. And as you can see in the photo, I am loving and protecting my lioness and cub.
I chose the lion picture because I think it best describes our personality and nobility
Desi, sorry to say you're stuck with the sissy rose when you comment.
Beckwanda,
Do some research and find a photo that describes your personality.
Comments are pretty lame without a photo by your name.
Oh, and B
nice long comment a few back, and i like how you misspelled some words so you could leave a couple more comments to spellcheck yourself. Good way to get the count closer to 100.
Tim said he would give the 100th commenter a free plane ticket to any destination in the continental U.S.
Thanks Tim
love,j
i searched long and hard to find a place with such a sense of community. after being excommunicated from MY community I have felt so lonely and afraid. This Tim, this Lion protector and this rose bearing fruit-- I feel as though I belong. Please, please except me. AHHHHHHH I'M CRAAAZY!!!
ok well we can count all my attempts at posting a pic "that describes my personality".
here goes...
ok, my first attempt didn't work. that was a pic of fireworks.
too hot and explosive for blogger for sure.
so this should work- it's me and my hubby sitting on top of the world...
well, i am so thankful for the blogger skills i am picking up in tim's comments.
so mr. shady, hopefully that pic will work for you. i think mine is the best, but then i do have the best personality.
and of course i am happy to advance the number of comments any way i can.
i usually do.
hey timbo,
i want a ticket to colorado!
-b
B,
Everest.....wow! maybe the best climbing skills, but i would give the winning personality vote to Calles for his ever silent presence here.
j
I heard you got engaged. Let's see some photos!
~Rose
Or maybe you are waiting for 100 comments here before posting anything new. Only 19 more to go.
~Rose
Do you like our new photo? Captain Kirk is the BOMB! Maybe you could have a Captain Kirk impersonator at your wedding. Now, that would be funny!
~Rose
Just saw that you deleted some of my #ed comments but they still count for comments...
~Rose
Josh, where have you been? No early morning devotionals at Tim's blog anymore? Come back to the blog!
~Rose
Kirk,
i was up this morning for the Tim devo.
Check it out.
j
mr. kolorado,
i may have to agree with giving the kakooey the best personality vote, but that is because the man has the rare talent of hiding in kid's closets (is that what you meant when you were refering to his silent presence?), and he has an entertaining blog which he lags on updating.
the photo is up in the andes, not everest (because i know you were serious)- i will leave that one to the timbo- hey- could make a great honeymoon spot... i'm with rose- let's see those engagement pics! congrats!
oh by the way, mr. k.,
you could be shady if you are tall...
testing...forgot my password
OK, my user name is my email. This is working...good.
~Rose
Becky, sorry I haven't called you back. Contrary to popular belief (spread by you) I am NOT eating bon bons all day...
I would love to go to the spa with you when we are out...thanks for the invite :)
I'll call you Saturday probably...tomorrow is full...getting Owen's 5 year old picture taken, going to the zoo with the Lion family and eating bon bons. Saturday during the day is good for me. If I forget, please call me :)
~Rose
P.S. Josh is not really all that tall, so he would only be shady to children.
Josh, I think you deserve a reward for getting someone who does not even know Tim to comment on his blog...
PROPS TO YOU BROTHA
See you and your lion pride tomorrow.
~Rose
Well Tim, here we are at 91 comments...pretty good. Your friends (the few really GOOD friends you have) sure do love you a lot to keep this going for so long. Lauren must be pretty pumped to be marring a man with such great friends.
Will there be a Captain Kirk impersonator at your wedding?
~Rose
When I get home from work today i better see 100 comments here. Good quality comments too, not counting or any quick shout-outs.
B,
I am very tall and shady to short weak adults like Desi, and also to children. I am also extremely strong, I can throw Desi about 12 feet and he flips and lands on his back. We tried out for Cirque du Soliel, but they already had a strong guy and back flipper. So we are sticking to street performances for petty cash.
j
j,
i'd like to see you try to throw me 12 feet in the air and flip me on my back....aaarrrggghhh....you make me filled with furious anger and wrath.
love,
desi
To my dear Desmondo,
Please consider the source of the shady comments and don't get fired up. Obviously the Shady K has overcompensation issues (Exibit A being the "lion" picture next to his name). Whose idea was it to go to the zoo today anyway? How much time did you spend by the big cat exhibit? Think about it. The guy needs prayer, especially if he thinks you can do backflips. Who is he kidding? Everyone knows your talent lies in swigging tabasco and pickle juice. Or did I miss the ensuing backflips?
Mr. K- Desi is one of the least weak people I know... I'd like to see YOU throw down a bottle of tabasco and all the crumbs from a dessert pizza with a 10 ounce chaser of pickle juice and live to tell the tale!
Rose - come on now- it's common knowledge that all you do is sit around on the couch all day and eat bonbons!
Tim- are you even the least bit entertained by all this discussion?
Rose,
I am so looking forward to hanging out. I'll call ya next week. I forgot why exactly I called, probably just to say hi and about when exactly you guys are coming.
I have an open house for Pampered Chef tomorrow. I am going to be making Cool Veggie Pizza, Tangy Pepper-Pecan Brie and some blue cheese dip thing. Yummy.
Oh, and don't get too excited, but there is a new Euro pastry shop that specializes in delicious bon bons that we will have to check out when you are out here...
so if anyone is going to get this to 100 it may as well be me.
they didn't call me loquacious one (thanks, mr. pham) for nothing at the bible college. by the way, i still hold the record for the only female ever on security.
Here is the recipe for Cool Veggie Pizza:
1 Package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1-1/2 teaspoons mayo
1 pressed garlic clove
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
Salt and ground pepper to taste
2 cups assorted veggies such as zucchini, broccoli, green onions, green or red bell pepper, cukes, carrots, or tomato
Preheat oven to 350*F.
Unroll crescent roll dough and divide into triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on 13" Baking Stone with narrow ends toward center. Roll dough into a 12-inch circle using lightly floured Baker's Roller to seal seams. Bake 12-15 minutes until light golden brown. Remove from oven, cool completely.
In 1-Qt. Batter Bowl, combine remaining ingredients except veggies; mix well with Scraper. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over crust. Chop veggies with Food Chopper; sprinkle over top of crust. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Cut with pizza cutter; serve with mini-serving spatula.
Yields: 10 servings
Tip for recipe:
You can just roll out the dough on a large bar pan and bake it for 12 minutes. That would be easier and I think that is what I am going to do tomorrow when I make it.
Yummy.
For Mr. K-
Since this blog seems to take the place of your morning devotions (shady) I will share mine with you:
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16
Where is the Kakooey? Has anyone seen him?
Why did he even bother creating a new blog when he doesn't even update it...?
And where is Timbo? I don't see any smoke off in the distance... so he can't be THAT busy. Apparantly he just lets people rant all over his blog all day long...
At least he has a conscientious fiance who gives the commenters a nod every now and then, exhibiting fine helpmeet qualities already.
Well, at least we have the Captain to keep us on our toes.
That's good enough I guess.
Tim,
As previously mentioned, I would like a ticket to Denver from Ontario Airport. I'll pay for Johnny.
Thanks, and can you guys also give us a ride?
Sometime in October would be great.
Oh, and you're welcome.
-B
B,
So I'm guessing YOU are the one who stays at home all day eating bon bons, or you have a cubicle computer geek job since you were able to post 9 comments consecutively to take the 100th, and free plane ticket.
Congrats on the win.
See you in Denver.
P.S. Temecula is for suckers
Tim, congrats on hitting 100! Now for the engagement photos.
Becky, I am with Mr.K on this one...nine posts to take the 100th spot...hmmmmmm...what ARE you doing all day?!
See ya in November ;D
~Rose
well if you all really want to know what i did all day,
i scrubbed the kitchen floor and did all the dishes, played superman with johnny AND hide-and-seek but i cheated and picked up the house while i was "hiding", i organized my office which was quite an undertaking, i planned my menu for my open house tomorrow and the week until next payday, i disciplined johnny about 100 times because his favorite words today were "no, i am NOT going to do that". so he learned all about doing things without complaining and disputing. then i had to make sure i did a few things todd had asked me to do since i had a bit o' johnny's attitude going on so a bit o' sactification was going on today. i hate that. and then i was posting the 9, was it really 9? comments in between trying to get johnny down for his nap and disciplining him. then i folded some laundry, got ready for the day, put together my cooking tools and grabbed my cookbooks and off to the show i go. all in all i would say i have had a very productive day. i even did my devotion this morning, which i am not so regular at. so hey, hitting the 100 is just the icing on the cake. and if you really knew me, you wouldn't be so shocked that it was only 9 comments to get there and all were mine and none were useless numbers. plus i type REALLY fast!!!!
since i hit winco and wal-mart on the way home it is now 1:37am and my darling wonderful husband is going to let me sleep in tomorrow morning( hopefully) as he usually does on saturday mornings so it's all good.
i hope you are all having a wonderful night's sleep and wake up feeling rested and refreshed looking forward to a day of rejoicing, grace and another round o' commenting as soon as timbo posts those engagement pics.
but don't worry, i most likely won't have the time to be as locquacious on the next one. i should just start blogging on my own blog.
nighty night.
so how WAS the zoo, anyway?
